Quilts photographed for the cover of Use your own favorite theme! Poodlepalooza and I'd Rather Be Quilting both show the optional narrow border. Catty Corner is an example of the project without an inner border.
Kay was previously a hand quilter only, and learned to machine quilt especially so that she could appropriately finish these quick and easy projects. As you can see, the quilting does not need to be fancy or elaborate. In these busy little scrappers, the explosion of color and pattern is what the eye sees.
Catty Corner was quilted in lines with the walking foot on. The other two received simple free-motion meandering and loop-de-loops, with capital X or capital Q quilting in the borders.
