There goes the peace and quiet

Just when I was getting used to being the only non-human in the house, No. 1 goes and brings home a puppy!

Sigh.

Sigh.

“Don’t worry,” she tells me. “He’s temporary.”

See, for years now No. 1 and No. 2 have been going to help out at this place.

Sometimes the animals there need to go to somebody’s house and live for a little while until they get their forever homes.

So No. 1 brought Munchkin home. She actually calls him Munchie.

He's chewing on Flopsy.

He's chewing on Flopsy.

Munchie is all right I guess. We get along fine, except that he’s such a young whippersnapper and a tad too peppy for my taste. He likes to get in between me and No. 1, and actually kind-of pushes me out of the way when we’re all in the kitchen. Kind of thick, I must say.

Displaced!

Displaced!

We went out to lunch at a place that lets dogs eat on their patio.

You gonna eat that?

You gonna eat that?

After a week, Munchie had another place to go. Here he is with his new pack.

Small, medium, and large.

Small, medium, and large.

I hear he’s very happy over there, with a couple of nice humans too.

It’s good to be back to the peace and quiet once again.

Woofs,
Willie

Willie, I am glad you have peace & quiet again. My Peke Lilly would NOT have been happy with Munchie either (but my, oh my, what a sweetie – that first photo is hilarious!) I am very glad Munchie has his forever home (because I might have scooped him up much to Lilly’s dismay!)

Paws up Lilly and her human! Guess what, No. 1 heard that Munchie’s ears fell down! When he was here, he used to have one that fell down when he was tired, but now both of them hang down all the time, like most of the spaniels. He fits in with his pack like a pea in a pod.

You were a good pup to let Munchie come and stay with you – blessings will come your way for sure :)

Will you be getting any new Klingon friends? Your adventures with the Klingons inspired me to visit my favorite shelter and adopt a friend named Assam Cattail for my tabby Gumdrop. Now we are a happy household of three. My Klingons only meet friends of your kind at the neighbor’s house.

Paws up human friends! Yes, I put up with Munchie. I’m what you might call a take-it-as-it-comes kind of dog. As for more Klingons, I’d just as soon enjoy the house to myself. But you never know what No. 1 might be thinking. She has a big heart. She was so glad to learn about Gumdrop’s new friend.

Molly says you had a close shave there Willie! About 18 months ago Molly was only sharing her human with 2 klingons. Harmony reigned. Then I was brought in to be interviewed by the kgs (I needed a home). Molly says nobody asked her but the kgs approved so I was allowed to stay. She can’t understand why like Munchie I have to be right next to our pack leader or why I have to have all her toys as well as my own or why we started going on longer walks again!
I don’t understand what she means but she says she will know.
Cheers mate

Munchie is so cute! But I’m glad you are no. 1 and only again! It’s more fun that way with no one to but in. I have to share my family with 1 klingon, Bootsie, but she’s not too bad.~Reeses
